What do we accept?

 

  • We accept unopened and unused Ostomy Supplies, including belts, barriers, bags, rings, paste, wipes, sprays, powders, and tapes. Ostomy Supplies ONLY, please.  ​

  • We cannot accept gauze, bandages, diapers, or other medical supplies.

  • We are not accepting urostomy supplies, tubing, or night bags at this time.

Do we pick up ostomy supply donations?

​No.  For the safety of our volunteers, we do not pick up donated Ostomy Supplies.  Donated supplies should be dropped off or mailed to the locations below.

Why do I need to make an appointment to drop off at some locations?

The Ostomy Support Group of North San Diego County does not maintain a physical location or storefront. Our supply closets are run 100% by wonderful volunteers who donate their limited free time to help others. It may be necessary for our volunteers to make arrangements away from work or other commitments to meet you for drop off.

It may take 5-7 days to process requests.

The San Diego Ostomy Supply Closet provides ostomy supplies to people in

San Diego and Tijuana, Mexico, areas that cannot afford them.

We're a small, volunteer-run nonprofit.  We do not have an office or storefront.

  • Our Supply Closet is run 100% by volunteers and is the only one in Southern California.

  • Storing these vital supplies is our greatest expense.

  • Please consider a monetary donation with your supply donation.

The mission of Friends of Ostomates Worldwide-USA (FOW-USA), a volunteer, non-profit organization, is to provide ostomy supplies and educational resources at no cost to ostomates in need around outside of the US.
